A well-known law firm is seeking an experienced Fiduciary Accountant to support its Trusts & Estates practice within the firm's Boston office. This is a full-time, hybrid position offering a collaborative, flexible environment and the opportunity to work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and tax professionals on sophisticated estate and fiduciary matters.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review federal and state estate tax returns (Form 706)
- Prepare fiduciary income tax returns (Form 1041) and related state filings
- Support probate and estate administration matters for high-net-worth clients
- Assist with fiduciary accounting, income tax reporting, and related compliance
- Collaborate closely with Trusts & Estates attorneys, tax managers, and paralegals
- Support complex estate planning, trust administration, and settlement activities
- (Preferred) Exposure to Foundation or a similar software
Qualifications:
- Several years of relevant experience in fiduciary accounting, estate tax, or trust administration
- Experience preparing Forms 706 and 1041 required
- Background in trusts & estates, fiduciary income taxation, or estate administration
- Foundation software experience is a strong plus, but not required
- The firm is not positioned to train junior professionals; candidates should be able to operate independently
- Candidates with 3-4 years of strong, hands-on experience will be considered if highly capable
